
When the school year began I had all these plans and dreams for this blog. But then this school year hit me hard. There was LETRS training, being a mentor to 3 Beginning Teachers, having an intern, being a member of a COP (Community of Practice), taking part in a special program in my district called Teacher Executive Institute, learning how to be an effective PLC Facilitator… no wonder I was exhausted!
But in a few days, another school year will end and I plan to get this blog up and going again. Here are some of the topics I am looking at covering over the next few months as I start preparing for another school year.
- Small group reading group planning with SOR and what I have learned so far in my LETRS training.
- Embedding word problem practice in all of the math standards throughout the year.
- Improving my reading instruction and sharing what I learn as I read through the book The Writing Revolution by Judith C. Hochman and Natalie Wexler.
- Making the most of PLC time.
